We
offer four small, comfortable, fully-equipped apartments for you to enjoy
an unforgettable holiday in the heart of wonderful Cefalu, which has been
visited for centuries by travelers from all over the world.
Our apartments are located in the town square near the extraordinary
Arab-Norman Cathedral, one of the architectural jewels of Sicily. From
here it is possible to walk to the Mandralisca Museum, which hosts a
famous painting by Antonello da Messina; to start a walk up La Rocca, the
hill overlooking the town from where a breathtaking view of the coast from
Palermo to Messina can be enjoyed; or to go for a swim in the clear, green
sea near the picturesque local fishermen's port.
From Cefalù it is easy to travel to Palermo (by convenient trains); to
the magnificent Madonie mountains and their nature park; to all the main
sites of Western Sicily (Agrigento, Piazza Armerina, Catania, Taormina and
the volcano Mount Etna) with organized trips or with public buses; and
also to the unique Aeolian Islands.
Our apartments are on the first floor of Palazzo Villelmi, which dates
back to the 15th century and still has a simple corner window from that
period with a little column in the middle. It is a valuable document of
the bourgeoisie taste from the Renaissance, showing also the signs of an
inscription on its architrave. |
